Wowwwwwww.
It's been a loooooooong f'ing time since I've posted on this board....
I need some advice, though. I currently have a TCI Breakaway stall converter and I see about a 2000-2200 rpm stall speed with slicks with my current mods. I definitely need another 1000 rpm of stall but I can't decide whether to go with the TCI Streetfighter or the TCI Super Streetfighter. TCI advertises stall speeds of 2200-2400 for the Breakaway, 3000-3400 for the Streetfighter, and 3500-3800 for the Super Streetfighter. The reason why I think I should go with the Streetfighter is because the bottom end of my engine is 100% stock. I put the 6000 rpm plug in the MSD 6AL box for that reason. I don't think it's very safe to have that thing much above 6000 rpm. The thing is that I need to get AT LEAST a 3000-3200 stall speed. I'll be IRATE if it's anything below that...even 2900 rpm. Does anyone have any experience with these converters? What kind of stall speeds are you getting with them? TIA. |
