SAD SAD night at the track... good friend wrecked his car
well a good friend of mine just totaled or almost totaled his 66 nova at the track. the throttle stuck and it sent him clipping pine trees.. good news is he's ok.. he's gonna feel like crap tomorrow but at least he'll be here!
some of u might remember the car.. it was Satistraction's (from the corral) old car.. i'm putting kill switches all over my car!!!! i have a 66 nova SS thats this car's twin.. and it's pretty fast too.. i just wonder what goes through your mind at a time like that!

Thats pretty shitty, but at least your friend lived through it with little or no injury.

That is really a bummer. Glad he is Ok relatively speaking.
I am orginally from Alabama and go through Merdian from time to time on the way "home". Is this track near Merdian? Did he go out the end of the track? Glad it didn't get into the spectators. On big hills they put in gravel areas for out of control trucks to land in. Any hope of some area like this at your track or does this even enter the thinking at drag strips. KIll switch seems prudent if you had the presence of mind to hit it at 150 mph.

Simma down dude, I think Deuce is the only one that doesn't still believe you......and he's stopped posting. IMO, a sign that he know's he's wrong and won't admit it. Shoot me those pics tonight and I'll host em in MustangWork's gallery and post them. -Josh, aka the tireburner

That really sucks, man. Sorry to hear it. Of course, glad he's okay-- most important. But I know what you mean when you say that "he's gonna feel like crap tomorrow but at least he'll be here" whether you're referring to him feeling bad about the car or physically from the bruises. I'm sure he is displeased about both aspects of the crash.
I really hate to hear of people totalling their cars (or someone stealing and stripping or burning their car) 'cause I can't help but imagine that happening to mine. Even seeing anyone at the track wreck totally screws up my night....
