![]() I have been researching different ways to check to see if my timing chain broke. Several sites post a method that involves puting a paper towel in to the spark plug hole of plug number1 and cranking the engine. The paper should then pop out.
My question is simple. If the paper does not pop out, that would mean the chain is broken and is not turning the pistons. Right? Will this method of checking dependably tell me if my chain is broken? thanks
