Re: This years dyno results 2006
Man those are cranking numbers. I do have one question, what kind of tranny setup do you have auto or 5-speed? Reason I ask is my son and I are getting ready to put the supercharger on our stang, which we're expecting about 600-650RWHP. We currently have a stock T-5 which we'll have to upgrade as well as the clutch.
Just doing some research on cars with this much HP stay stick or go auto. |

Re: This years dyno results 2006
I run a C4 automatic. It's a dragstrip only car tho. (seems like alot of work, rowing gears (i.e. stick), in a short amount of time I spend in the car in the 1/4 mile....:>)
Rather be concerned with important things like keeping it shiney side up, and going straight.......:>) (j/'k you stick guys................don't know how ya'all do it)............... |

Re: This years dyno results 2006
As near as we can tell, I'm putting out about 590 (flywheel) HP, not quite the numbers you guys are looking at, but it's up there.
I'm running a TKO II, and absolutely LOVE it. I would never even think about going automatic, that's just me though. Here in the real world, "slush" boxes are waaaay more dependable, and tons more consistant on the track. Like dragstang said, when you start making that much power, ie faster/quicker, that leaves alot less time for rowing gears. From what I've seen, only about 1 in 10 "high HP" cars is a true stickshift. Not counting Lencos/Libertys clutchless Gforces, etc etc.
