A built c4 can handle gobs of hp. I have never done the swap, but it can't be that hard. Why in the world would you swap these two?

i would stick with the t-5 but the swap is a joke compared to going from ayto to 5spd.. change the shifter and away you go.. you'll need a tranny cooler and you'll be all set. The drive shaft length will need to be adjusted and a new flywheel.. thats it!

Been there and done that. Theres some work involved with the conversion but pretty straight forward.
If you do it right, expect to spend around $3,000+ for everything. Transmission, cooler, shifter, lines, fittings and converter. If you try to cut corners to save initial expense....expect to spend more then $4,000+ after you work out all the bugs.
Now,.... you must ask yourself...is this conversion that important at the stage level you are at.
Hint: If you are running in the low 11's or slower, I would recommend keeping a manual transmission due to the fun factor and streetablity. A tremic might be all you would need along with a good clutch.
If you are still intrested in getting a C-4 try these guys...
Dynamic Racing Transmission....
Performance Automatic...
Both companies have cars in the 8's (1/4 mile) with their C-4's!!!
