Smile Dont hate me, I'm from the "other side"

Just a newbie here. I am a GM guy, but I like anything that car that is fast. I'm not a trash talked unless its brought about, so dont look for me flaming anyone here. I'm just here to share my knowledge and maybe pick up some more. I see Im not the only GM guy here though.

Heres what I have in the driveway; a 97' Hendrick Motorsports Camaro SS, a 69' Z/28 with a few goodies , and a mainly stock 93' LX 5.0. I am a Camaro guy as you can see, but I'm not partial to the label. I'm all for the "run what ya brung" theory. I'm down with a fast blue oval. I just hate those cocky guys (I know, we got em' too). Besides, one of my good friends has a 2000 Lightning that has changed my outlook at a whole for whom I choose to race. A 12.3 isnt that bad for a few boltons in a nearly 5000 pound truck.

Anyways, I registered just be be different. If you want to flame me for it, fine. I'm just here for the knowledge aspect of it all. There were a few posts I registered for in peticular, just to set some facts straight.

See you guys/gals around.

-Darren

Hey HP FREAK, welcome to the board. It's the best Mustang/car enthusiast site on the net IMHO.

There are many people on here with many different cars. There are over 16,000 members!!!

I had a '69 Mustang Coupe, but I wrecked it a few months ago. I'm working on building a '69 Mustang Fastback now. 351W, C4, 9" Currie rear end. And bright, bright yellow!!!

I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay on this site.

Cool

Welcome to Mustangworks. By the sound of your first post, I think that you will fit in just fine here. Just remember that this is a FORD site, so posting trash talk about stangs will likely get you in trouble. But if you show respect to the other guys rides, they'll respect your ride.

Where in NC are you? Most of the guys I run with either have mustangs or GNs, guess that's why I split them both and did a turbo mustang. Anyway, welcome.

You'll find that the people here are very level headed, and we will listen to what you have to say, even though you are from the chevy side. welcome

Default FREAK!!

WELCOME! first off let me tell you that i havee NO preference when it comes to Ford vs. Chevy. i like them both. second, is that your black Toyota? you own Yoda's? if so, i definitly dig people who are into Toyota trucks! and one other thing, try not to get in a debate about the LS1 vs. the Stang. i cant speak for no one else but myself by saying i think that arguement is getting so old and lame. i hope you dont start and i hope nobody starts with you on that subject. most of the time it gets out of hand. we all know that both are American manufactures, and they both look sweet, sound mean, and haul ***!

last but not least: "you GM guys say us Ford boys are weird..."

Hey HP FREAK.

I live in Fayetteville. We have a Hendrick Dealer here in town. I've seen a few of those Hendrick Camaro's. Theres a blond girl that drives one around town, Actually I've seen a V6 Camaro done the same way with another blond girl driving it.

Where in NC do you live? Let me know if you live anywhere near Fayetteville, you'll have to come out to "Chill" with me and my gang on Saturday nights. We raise "Alittle" hell every now and then.

Whats up man. I live in Durham. I dont think thats but like an hour or a little more away. Sounds like a plan for a hangout. You guys meet year round? Kinda like a bunch of domestics, or a bunch of Ovals? I'd still come out if I can get some respect out of the Oval boys. LOL.

Let me know.

As for the Hendrick Camaro SS's that you see, if you happen to talk to any owners try to scoop me an email addy. My bud is starting a registry and we need all 61 car owners contact info.

Thank
-Darren

Default Anything Fast! Or Domestic.

HP FREAK

The group I hang out with used to be just Mustangers. Over the years, things have changed.

You'll find mostly Domestic Muscle cars out with us. We have a few late 60's, early 70's chevelles. A few late 60's early 70's Novas, a 67 Fairlane drag/street car, a few older Stangs show up every now and then. Two Buick GN's Both moddiffied.

We have two guys that have supercharged 94-95 Cobras that come out there everynow and then, a pair of bad A$$ NA 94-95 Cobras, a few forced induction fox bodys and 4.6 Cobras, and alot of NA Foxbodys, and 5-7 99+ GT's. A Saleen that shows up every now and then.

We also get quite a few FireBirds out there, 3rd and 4th gen. A handfull of Camaro's most of them are 4th Gen SS's.

Hey we accept anyone as long as there openminded and dont cause problems.

During the winter, the turn outs not as big or consistant, although the last two weeks have been decent. During the summer we average about 30-40 cars. We've had times were's theres been alot more.

Seems like were getting more new people everyweekend, which is cool.

Sometimes we round up as many as possible and go cruising the streets, Go racing, or looking for the Ricer crowd. Funny how most of them talk so much trash, but when you get about 20 Domestic V8's, and go to these trash talkers there like "No man..umm. I hurt by big toe and cant get on the clutch quick."

Send me and e-mail if you want to meet up one of these Saturday's.
