Default Single Chambers

Anyone have any soundclips of their car with the single chamber flowmasters? How do they sound compared to the regular 40 series 2 chambers?

very much lowder than the 2 chamber's, a real cop grabber, but they sound better on a ford than they do on a gm, no dis to gm, ford's just have that lower, meaner sound, chev's have a higher pitch, i may be wrong, but after 30 something years of driving, i think im right

i know a lot of guys in the cav, sunfire car clubs and they all agree, a 5.0 mustang sounds good. but i think a single chamber would be signifitly louder than a two chamber.

My buddy used to have a 79 Z28 with a $4000 350 in it...He had headers and two-1 chamber Flowmasters on it. Seriously, it sounded like a top fuel dragster. It was easily the meanest sounding car i've ever heard. Those mufflers are loud as ****, but sound good as long as you arn't daily driving LOL.

I actually thought my 3 chamber Flows were too loud (no cats). I added resonators at the end to quiet it down a little more for the street. May have increased back pressure a little and cost some power.

The mufflers are for my 85 astrovan, I'm dropping a 355 in it in a few weeks, I still have to pick up my heads and get headers/mounts and a few misc. items. I 'm running a set of hedman 68600 shorties with a either an h-pipe or an X-pipe, I'll probably get the X. I'm definitely gonna get either the 2 or single chambers, I may get the single chambers. Do they still have the same nice hollow sound as the 2 chambers, only louder?

i imagine they would kinda have the same sound but they would be significantly louder due to the fact that the exhast pretty much runs straight through. i think it would sound pretty good. by the way that sounds like a nice little set up on the van there.

Think of the sound of a funny car or a top fuel dragster...Honestly, they sound the same at idle to me. BRUTAL sounding.

My friend had dual Single Chamber's running an H-pipe setup with dumps at rear axle on his highly modified 5.0 and it was LOUD. I agree though, mustangs sound so good with exhaust's, compared to the LS1.

what series are the 1's chambers? (i got a custom setup put on my car, cause it didn't have any when i bought it, but it did have 40 series flow mufflers an dumps, but the dumps were shakin my brain loose at 20 mph. but its too quite for me now. i want my piss the nieghboorhood off sound back any ideas? i was thinkin remove the cats an jus reattaching the pipes to the mufflers(40 series i beleive) sound clips would help immensly
