Which is your all time favorite Stang?
Just curious, what is the best all time mustang? I'd have to say 1969 429 BOSS. As far as looks go, along with the Mach 1.
|
I'd say the Mach 1, fllowed by the Boss 429, followed immediately by the 1982 GT. i also like newer fox bodies, and the mustang II's look pretty cool too. i also like SN-95's, and the 99-01's look really good. truth be told, i can't put my finger on one i would desire above all others. except possibly the '82 GT, no idea why.
|
Hmmmm. Thats a though one. I think a red or black 64 1/2-66 Stang with the GT apperance pkg ( I know 64 1/2's didnt come with them, but I put it on mine) looks awesome, especially with the optional rims and redline tires. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif
Then its a two way tie for second, a Red 69 Mach 1 with the 428, of course, and a 68 Shelby GT 500 KR. Those just look Mean as hell. A really close third would be the 99+ GTs, with the anniversary ed pkg, or GT apperance Pkg. Once again, they look really agressive and mean. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif ------------------ 64 1/2 "D" code Red Mustang Coupe. 289, C4, 3:1 rear gear. Mallory duel point. And to many others to list 2000 Perf Red Mustang GT. 5spd. BBK Underdrive pulleys, Flotech off-road H pipe. Hurst T-Handle 64 1/2 red 6cyl coupe. Auto. project car. |
In my opinion, the best looking stang is either a midnight blue, 96-98 Saleen, a 96 Mystic cobra, or a atlantic blue 98 Cobra.

Seriously though I agree on the Boss 429 and Mach-1. I also like the FoxBodied 7-up cars. The limited edition emerald green with the white(leather?) interior. I like the way they looked. |
I prefer the 68 Fastback and the 99 GT... LOL http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif
I REALLY love these Stangs: 1. Mach 1 2. Boss 302 3. Bullitt 4. 64 1/2 Convertible (They are SO cute!) 5. As far as looks go, the '69 Boss 429 is my favorite, followed by the '67 and '68 Shelby GT500's. A couple of other honorable mentions would be the '94 Boss 429 show car. That was one sweet ride, even if it was just a show car. Also, the new Bullit Mustangs are really sharp, just wish they had a little more power.

My favorite mustang of all time is a 89 lx convertible with a blown 331, I may be a little bias.. I also like the 65 convertibles(with rims) and the mustang that is at the end of the movie "Inner Space", what car is that?? The 99+ mustangs are just sweet looking cars.

99 Saleen S351 Convertable. There was one that occationally parked in my parking lot at my previous job. It was beyond a doubt, totally bad *** .
69 Boss 302 is way up there too. |
I really like most Mustangs. I think 69 Mustangs are definitely my favorite if they are fixed up right. I think probably coupes but I am probably also bias, I love the Mach 1s too. I 96-98 Mustangs are awesome too. There is one in my town that is like a really really dark green with a tan convertable top. It has 17" Cobra R rims, it's sweet!

See you got to love the 69 Mach 1. At least everyone loves mine. Still I wish it had the 429 Super Cobra Jet in it, but my 351C suits me fine. I also love the new Saleen S351's.

Any Saleen S351, but the convertable is problably the nicest looking.
Then both the GT500 and the GT350 are next, then, Hmmmm, gets tough from there, they're all nice cars... ------------------ Driving: 1998 F-150 Far way in Edmonton==> :( 1995 Mustang GT |
A 1969 Mach 1, 67 GT500, 69 Boss 429, 2000 Cobra R, Saleen SR, Roush Stage 3, and even a 77 blue, and white Cobra 2 are some of my favorite Mustangs.

1969 BOSS 429

Good question, personally, I like the 69 Mach 1 w/428CJ. However, one of my dream 'stangs is a 93 Cobra. I do have to say, though that the '01 looks doesn't impress me anymore. I think they're going a little overboard.
94 GT 64 1/2 260V8 project car |
I'm torn here. I've always been a fan of the '68 fastback with the 390 but ever since my oldest son came home with his 89 GT, I've grown to like the Fox bodies a lot. Guess tha 88-93 Foxes get my nod.

1. Any Saleen S351 w/ the optional Vortech blower.
2. NOTCHBACKS!! They are the greatest practical mustang ever produced. 3. Any 91-93 5.0 LX Convertible. ------------------ Jeff Kane 1990 LX Mustang ex-5.0 Coupe No engine. No transmission. My hands down favorite of all time is the Gone In 60 Seconds '67 Shelby GT500 that JL1314 was so nice to post pictures of. Second would be an '82 GT. Third, a '93 Cobra. Fourth is a Mach 1 sportsroof. Last but certainly not least is, or course, the '84 1/2 20th anniversary GT350s (c'mon...you had to see that coming).

I'd have to disagree stronly with the notchbacks being more practical than the hatch cars. Have you ever hauled a crate motor in a notch? How about a chair, or a desk? I have in my hatch. sure the hatch didn't close on the crate motor, but it did on the other two. You'll also get better fuel economy on the road with the hatch's.
Anyway, I forgot to say Super Stallion. I'm afraid that thing was extremely badass! Hehe, I've got an E85 pump right down the street from my work too. LOL! The '69 sure seems to be a popular car! My Uncle appearently has it made with those. 69 Mach 1 428/CJ Toploader (77k orig owner) 69 Boss 302 (just fully restored and painted) |
Um, My Favorite Of All Time By Far Is The 1971-73 Mach1. I Will one day Own one.

|
As far as right from the factory, I don't have any one favorite. Other than the tires being a little too low-profile and the wood interior trim, the 67 GT500 from gone in 60 seconds lookes pretty baddass, I'm not gonna lie. |
