you're right, when the word Machanic is mentioned, people's heads snap around right quick. haha j/k

Eric,

Hee, Hee....."Partner"....You doing OK for yourself then? LOL...Always aspired to that degree of knowledge, but, that is TOO much information. Hard enough to keep the Pension Regulations and DOL laws up-to-date. Since you usually work a year look back period, all the laws are effective on beginning plan years, but you administer to a full plan year end. Fargin' confusing. Constant continuing education. IRC Sections are just all jumbled up in my brain....Testing.. More compliance testing PLEASE!

Partner. That is a very respectible status you have Boss!

You definately live up to your name. You are the first person I've ever spoken to that knew what my job was without me explaining it. All I can say is the Staples Center (Lakers home court) is a very, very bad building to be in if we get "hit" with the big earthquake. I know of sooooooo many high profile buildings all over the world that are not built correctly. Take care, Keith

LoL..See why that handle fit me so well. Fargin' know it all! ROFL....

As for the Staple center, Who hoo.....That is a scary thought. I guess retro fit on an existing structure that intricate is not an easy task.

I would also be fairly concerned for 1/2 the stuff built at Disneyland. All those kids...Geez...By the way, what would you say the percentage of buildings/bridges/overpasses are built to current earthquake retrofit requirements in the LA area? As for world wide....Let's take a quick look at Tokyo, Japan and see HOW to build for a unstable seismicly inclined region. LOL

Take care,

Jill,

I know. It's truly sad. It is this God forsaken morals and ethics thing my dad planted in me. EARN your money! I even feel truly compelled to help my CEO & Execs. really make this company work. So I'm always right there giving them my advice. :) (Me? Go figure...) I feel that if I can make the bottom line better....I get a better cut of the cake. Oh, yeah, did I mention I work for an awesome company that still gives bonuses based on REAL work. They give ample raises and take care of their folks. We have flex time and variable work schedules. I'm a 7:30 - 3:30pm. OThers work 8:00-7:00 4 days..Take Friday. It's all what works for your job. It's a nice little set-up. The owners are mid-40s and have raised this place to a whole new level. It's nice to know that as an employee, your opinion DOES count and each one of us is appreciated and shown that in a tangible way.. Not just the customary..Good Job Bob Blow Off!...LOL

Couldn't ask for much better than that. Darn nice luxary to have in this current day. So, Yeah! I work my butt off for those ladies(& gentlemen---not many there---Big girls club thing)....

The chimney is taller than the roof, though, and this condo is 3 stories tall. I'm not afraid heights or anything... well, at least not until I get up there.

Derek Daley Race School!

Hey..GaryDawg

Have you had an opportunity to check out the Derek Daley SpeedCentre Racing School. When I get back there this sprng or summer I think I may take my hand at this package. Even if it ran a bit more...

>"Formula Race Car School
This is a three day program with practice race starts and lapping sessions in addition to basic instruction, and also includes use of the skid car.....In 1997, the price for this course is listed as $2,195. "<

Wee Fun! Now that's a vacation! Better than paying $5,000 for a cruise that you end out vomiting/... for days on. If nothing else you'd get one hell of a driving lesson....

I take in stride when im called a pig. I take time to transport your child to the hospital. I take it when you curse me, when it was probably your fault. I take time to put criminals in jail. I take time away from MY family to keep your safe. I take in the sights and sounds that most would cry. I take you home when your car breaks down. I may take a bullet one day and on occasion I take a free cup of coffee. I take on other jobs to supplement my lack of pay. I hope one day God will take me~

Im a Cop.

BTW, I smoke and drag race my car, which wouldn't have a chance in hell of passing an emissions test.
Kinda ironic, huh?

MEDIK418 12-13-2002 09:42 AM

That's ok. . .OSHA can kick the EPA's a** any day. Besides, the plant manager takes the fall for the environmental rap anyway.

JRowlette 12-13-2002 06:32 PM

True, but my plant manager would probably can my a** if I didn't have everything in compliance!!
BTW, I read where you were an Environmental Response Spec.. Do you teach Hazwoper, etc. ? I used to do oil/hazmat cleanups for a local response company when I was in college. I did care for the hours and I didn't get paid sh*t.
