Dan, It's great to see all the new advertising. Would it be possible to have a page where all of your advertisers are displayed at once so we don't have to wait for them to come around on the banner? I liked the DSL one, but can't remember what the link was.

That sounds like a good idea. Keep the banner going so that we see the ads, but then put a link up to a page that contains all the ads, then we can find them whenever we want.

Yes. Exactly. Of course the banners would have to stay. That's what the advertisers are paying for. A simple, "This web site supported by..." page would be a great addition.

I woul probably do that, except that I can't. The site now delivers advertising through an exclusive contract with a major online advertising corporation. The ads are being served from their system, not ours, and I do not completely know at any given time all the ads that will run on the site. I just approve or deny certain categories of things.

They do have some cool ad campaigns, don' they? Except when they deliver HTML ads, it some times screws with the ad boxing I have set-up (to make it look like a rear view mirror) and it shifts left on Netscape. Errr. Have to find a way to fix that soon.------------------ Dan McClain, Editor The Mustang Works Online 1991 Mustang GT - 10.90 @ 122 Mph Built, Blown, and Fast as Hell! |
