Anybody having a slow time of it?

By that I mean this site. About a month ago it became painfully slow. No other site that I go to has been effected. Any hints?

Yes, it's been very slow for me. Takes a long time for pages to load it seems.

When I do a trace route to forums.mustangworks.com I get quite a few "request time out"'s... strange.

For a while it moved very slow for me also. Dan has done everything he can on his end to keep it fast. Currently, I don't have too many problems. It takes a little longer than other sites, but there is a lot of content to load and I think the ads hang it up a little.

I just can't handle 45 sec(I timed it) load times, per page. Even if I just hit the back button. I used surf this site fine. but now even checking posts I suscribed to, just takes too long. I rarely ever come here anymore, and that sucks, because I like this site, it has taught me alot.

Just for fun I tried it at work, it works fine. Now why does it work like crap at home? This is the only site that gives me grief. Any ideas?

I haven't had any problems at all.

CobraJet428 10-23-2003 12:50 PM

it works fine for me

no loading problems here...all seems fine

Try deleting all your cookies and temp internet files.

It's worked for me on this site and another where the site would load extremely slow while others seemed fine. It was only on my work computer that this would happen, my home computer would never have any issues loading the site. As soon as I deleted these files and re-logged into the site, it's been great ever since.

Good luck,
E

Well, I tried deleteing cookies and files, tried ad-aware, and relogging. Nope, still takes about 45 secs a page. Ebay takes me about .5 a sec/page. Any other ideas? This one took about 20 mins to get done. That really sucks!

new computer, no prob's. :D :D :D

gofastmercury 10-24-2003 07:55 PM

This is far from a old one. And I have cable internet. Like I said ebay comes up in about have a half a second, with all pics. This site takes 45 seconds. Not a lot of fun to surf around.

LX5liter 10-27-2003 03:41 PM

I've noticed that it seems to be slower if I use Netscape, but it's O.K. with I.E.
