Dan:Question about website

Hi Dan,I was wondering how you made the opening page of the website ?

What do you mean, the opening page? Do you mean the page the MeanLX site logo is on with the latest news, the creative graphical layout (look-n-feel) of the site, or something else?

The very first thing that a person sees when they log onto mustangworks. The graphical layout with the little cartoon guy holding up the wrench and where the ford symbol is,how did you design this ? http://216.59.112.100/interactive/msgboard/smile.gif

I designed the graphical layout of the site in Photoshop 5. The rod and piston are actual scans of the pieces that are now in my 377 stroker! http://216.59.112.100/interactive/msgboard/wink.gif Once you do the creative artwork, you have to chop it up into sections that you can reassemble using an advanced frame layout, optimize the piss out of each image, then code the HTML to reconstruct what you did as artwork as an HTML site. However, you can do several tricks with the graphics and frames to make the whole layout seem to strech with the size of the browser so that it will work in any browser size or screen resolution. This is the correct way to do it.
