Deleted Threads
Mustangbelle:
Thanks for posting your query in the proper forum.
Threads are occasionally deleted based on the judgement of the owner and his agent, the messageboard administrator or the forum moderator.
I don't keep track of all the deleted threads but I deleted a 'Mustang Guru' thread on the Windsor Power forum yesterday that was nothing but an invitation to a flame war. I notified the originator and he apologized for starting the thread.
I don't recall an online store thread being posted or deleted by me but if it was, we have a reason for that. Mustang Works is not a vehicle for other businesses to advertise for on for free.
If you have a commercial business than you pay commercial advertising rates here. No free rides using the messageboard to troll for business that Mustang Works gets no part of.
If the wisdom of that MW policy escapes some people it's not our problem. Those kinds of trolling-for-customers threads will always be deleted.
The messageboards are for swapping stories, tech advice and what-have-you. Not for flaming other members that annoy you, sexually obscene postings or pimping your own commercial business.
The Corral Day thread was allowed to remain as Dan approved of it. If it was deleted - it wasn't by me.
I have no idea what 'chick Mustang club' thread you allude to but I'm not aware of it. Individual moderators may delete these threads as they see fit, within MW posting guidelines, of course.
Bottom line: If a thread 'disappears' (is deleted) then there is usually a very good reason for the deletion.
One suggestion:
Occasionally, a thread will age out of your parameters for viewing posts. If you have your post views set for 'Last 2 Days' and the thread was dormant for three days (no replies) then it will drop off your post views. That doesn't mean it was deleted, just that you can't see it. Change your post view parameters to 5 days and the 'deleted' post will reappear.
