Post Getting nailed by one advertiser

I was keeping all of the pop ups at bay. But one company has broke through my wall.

Insightexpress.com nailed me in the chat room around 00:15 hours, this day.

All in all not bad so far.

Question

I guess what you are trying to say is that one of the banner ads that displayed on the site also opened another browser window with something in it? Please confirm, and let me know what the deal is.

Correct,a new browser window popped up. I wrote down the address. I did not pay much attention to content. I did see somthing about,"Dont close this window yet, untill you read this." Insightexpress.com was the culprit.

I dont read banner adds. I dont know if the window came from one. (Sorry advertisers.)

Have you seen the latest cheesy ad strategy? A banner popped up (not on here) that had what looked like a window that was doing something automatically. My wife clicked on the cancel button to stop it and then it forwarded her to the advertiser's site. The Cancel button was part of the banner. Isn't that crap?

No, I haven't seen that one - but, it doesn't surprise me. I try to avoid any banners running on here that do that by banning them, but sometimes I don't know they do that and miss them. I don't even like those ones.
