The first thing is that the whole labeling of members on the message board is built into the message board program. At this time it only has two stages, and I have to designate a certain number of post at which time it automatically upgrades an account from the initial label to the later. So, I am limited on what I can do. So, It's either label new people as "Junior Member" like now, and then something else at X amount of posts, OR, it's label them as Member right off the bat and move them up to something more advanced sounding at a larger X amount of posts. However, I don't want to label them as something that makes it sound like, to a newbie type MWorks user, they must be a real life certified mechanic. That could cause some problems.
Second, the concerns you are raising concerning the magazines, this site, and The Corral are of no surprise or new knowledge to me. Not to detract from Chris Ihara's site or StangNet, since popular too, but MW is a very large site in its own right (we are now over GB's in size, get 10+ MILLION hits, 3+ MILLION page impressions, and send over 40+ GB's of data per month) and we have long since been ignored by the Mustang magazine community. Almost all the press we have received throughout our history is from 5.0 Mustang Magazine, and that's because Jamie Meyer went out of his way to make that happen. But, it certainly wasn't a feature just on us when we did get in there either. And, in fact, the last time we were mentioned in 5.0 Mustang was an absolute joke. That was in the big "Internet Directory" article supposedly listing all the biggest Mustang resources on the web. In it, they did not even give The Mustang Works its own main listing as one of the major players. Instead, we were stuck back several pages on some hardly noticeable side bar, in very small print, labeled as General Sites. Nobody I know even noticed it until I pointed it out! We are hardly a general site, and we are certainly a major player.
The site may not have always been the best design, in fact the previous design was 3 years old, or more, and garbage compared to what I would do today, but it was always functionally advanced and had good features. That's why it grew the popularity and following it has. I think the new design of the site is up to par. If anyone wants to help, Call, Email, or write all the major Mustang magazines and politely inform them about the new site, it's popularity, and that they should give us much more attention then they have. All of us here that work on the site will appreciate greatly any help our users and supporters can give us.
Finally, Beni, I have long since meant to put a Project Car article/section online. Go into technical and then select Project Cars. You'll see the initial page for the soon to be section which will detail the entire build up of a race prepped, blown 377 stroker. It will include detailed writings, pictures, video, and chassis dyno details. But, right now I'm programming the Users Rides, which is my top priority and will go online next.
