An HTML page can be any filename (no spaces) with a .html extension. "index.html" is the name of your default homepage that will come up automatically by just typing your website url (http://members.mustangworks.com/sites/car9fan/) with no web page on the end of it.

What you'll want to do once you have a handle on it is edit or replace the index.html page and that will be the "main" page of your site. So... if anyone goes to: http://members.mustangworks.com/sites/car9fan/ it will come up with your main site page. ;)
