Robert:
Well, you're hooked now (just like the rest of us) so you may as well enjoy it, which I know you will when you're at Mustang Works.
Although I had used computers at work for a few years before buying my own, I really can sympathize, because when I went online (early '97) I went through the same thing:
Had to get an extra phone line installed within a month because no one could reach us as I was always online and tying up the phone. My wife was also both frustrated and suspicious in turn, but finally got into it a bit herself and also realized that the net and specifically, Mustang Works Online was a reasonable hobby (and I'm home a lot more).
I also learned to try to not use all my free time online (it's not always easy) and remembered to give my wife some attention even when I'm online (you can take a 5 minute break to chat with her and go right back). Don't act 'bothered' if she wants to talk to you when you're online...wives hate that, as I found out! You'll learn.
I'm also a two finger typist but I can type up to 30 wpm, which is enough if you're not a data processor, secretary or a programmer.
Us two-finger folks usually make very few errors, so it kind of comes out even.
I guarantee you'll learn a lot here;
Check out all the features and forums as things can change quickly.
Pass on the good word about the site and feel free to contribute as often as possible with questions or answers, but remember, thousands of Mustang owners will see your posts so try to always be accurate with answers and don't be afraid to ask for help for yourself, or just add a race story to the Street Racers Corner forum or a comment about something not even Mustang-related in the Blue Oval Lounge forum. There's plenty to choose from and to read and enjoy on this website.
Dan designed it for folks like us, that own, drive and love Mustangs and want to make ours as good as we can and learn as well as share what we know with others. It's all here.
Welcome to Mustang Works Online!
