weird...
I haven't had another 'pop-up attack' since i logged in...??

I swear I got the same ad, like 3 or 4 times in a very short period! Really! I would close the window, and bing! Back it came...

I always close them as soon as I notice.

3 more...

Yeah, I don't mind the ads at the top, but the popups. that's a different story. I got 3 in a row then it crashed my Internet Explorer (version 5.5). Now that is annoying.

I understand the need to make a site profiable or at least try to break even,BUT once you close a popup window it should NOT return. You have seen the ad and now you want to see what you came to the site for!!!

I totally agree. At first, I thought it was AOHell, but soon I realized it was Mustangworks. With my 33.6 modem, I was shooing away the double popup piece crap ad once every thiry seconds.

Plus I have a lame 640 x 480 res monitor, and with AOL I have to maximize the screen to see anything. That's another few seconds every time that damn ad pops up.

At least it doesn't seem to be up right now.

OK...I understand the need to feed money to the site in the means of advertisement dollars, but this is pathetic.
If I close a pop up, I'm not interested and no matter how many times you bring it back in my face I don't want it.
I have never seen a site that brings a pop up back 6 times like I just encountered trying to read the classifieds.

Never again cause I'm not coming back till their gone!
See ya!!!!!!!!

I remember Dan said that the ads are fed in from another company. It IS annoying though. The survey's every once in a while aren't all that bad, but that credit card one reminded me of porn sites. Well, at least I heard that they did stuff like that. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

I've just returned from CyberBrawl. So, I'm not aware of the ad you are talking about and I haven't seen it yet. However, it is correct that a large percentage of our available advertising delivery is filled by an advertising corporation. We have a contract with them and they sell advertising on Mustang Works for us. Unfortunately, once in a while crap like this just shows up, and I have no prior warning of it.

If I see this ad, I'll quickly contact someone with our advertising firm and ask that it be removed from being delivered to MW's!

I'm going to E-Mail some people about this and see if I can stop that ad from being delivered here on the site. I don't like it either!!
