Post Editing of Messages

Dan, I noticed that sometimes you edit messages of users. I'm not sure if you do it for vulgar language, for clarity, or technical problems (e.g. An image that is too wide). That's no big deal. I was just wondering if you could indicate what you actually changed by enclosing the changed parts in brackets or adding a comment as to what was deleted.

It's just one of those things that nags at me when I see something that was edited by someone other than the original author and I don't know what it was.
