I'd say no - but, I wish they would!
Regardless, a spell checker would be nice, but I'm not sure whether there is a spell checker mode available for UBB or not. I could write one, of course, but to be honest I'm just to busy with a list of other projects already. However, I think it's a good suggestion and a good request to keep on the "to do" list.
