![]() In 1993 I bought a brand new mustang off the showroom floor. I dearly loved that car, and my youngest son to whom I sold it to last year. In June of this year, he was hit from behind and killed instantly when the gastank exploded in flames..... I have begun now to search for information regarding the unsafe gastanks in Mustangs and find that there is some information with regard to lawsuits against Ford for similar matters. Quite by chance, I came accross tonight a website that advertises "Protect Your Mustang with a new technical breakthrough in mustang fuel tanks!" it shows a picture of this new gas tank, and goes on to say |internally suppresses explosions caused from impacts, and reduces fule sloshing with its' reinforced splash screen TH (Patent pending) design" I wonder why this kind of gas tank is not currently in ALL Mustangs........ I am wondering if you mustang owners would be willing to correspond with me and with the Ford company in regard to this manner?
