![]() Hey Dan, Since these recent changes have been made I have one hell of a time visiting the messageboard. If I click to read a post the screen do-hicky says "going to 216.xx.xxx.xxx...." and will just sit there and not load. After a minute my browser says "publisher kept you waiting longer than one minute." I have to click on the post like 3 times before it will finally load. (a minute wait between tries) and when replying to a topic I end up posting the same thing up to 3 times!!! The other sites I visit, (Stangnet, LS1.com, LS6.com, Muclestang.) do not do this at all. I know I need a real computer, but damn! This my favorite site! I can't wait till then! AAAHHHHH!!! I know you are busy, but if you wanted to look at a Webtv unit I would be more than happy to swing it by. Thanks Dan, Rob |

![]() Well, I just used the PC software version of the WebTV software and didn't have any problem getting into the message board. Of course, I am on a LAN with the server the msgboard now runs on, so if it's a bandwidth issue, I can't test that. However, I have been using the site each day from a remote location and I haven't experienced problems getting in or it being extrodinarialy slow.
Is there anyone else that is having the problem exgm has described? Does the msgboard seem slower, or faster, now that it's been moved to it's own server? Well, I know it's fast. As far as the server being able to run the CGI's and stuff. It whips them out since that's all it's doing is running the board, classifieds, and rides. However, bandwidth could be an issue at peak times since it has a limit sized pipe to it. But, if needed, I can up make a call and double the bandwidth to it probably. ![]() ------------------ Dan McClain, Editor The Mustang Works Online 1991 Mustang GT - 10.90 @ 122 Mph Built, Blown, and Fast as Hell! |

![]() I'm on a PC but things seem to load faster for me now. Had a few problems like exgmguy was describing when the changes were first going on but everything is much better now.

![]() ExGM, maybe your problems were during the same time period when we were moving the msgboard to the second server we just added also?

![]() It is still doing it. Even today. It is weird. I can click on a topic and it may load it instantly, but say I go to reply to the topic, my screen says "contacting publisher" like normal, but won't continue. If I hit back, it usually boots me back to the main page.
