Where did the smack board go???

The MW staff decided to take the board in another direction - Mustangs! There's always playboy.com still though.

I just hope we're not returning to the bad old days of heavy censorship at MW. That thought makes my hair stand on end.

Nah, I wouldn't worry about censorship creeping in here. The problem with that forum was that instead of being used for what it was designed for, it became about porn.

Unless the feedback we've been getting shifts for some reason, we'll be adding several new forums in the near future and working on the existing ones to make them better.

Please post in THIS MESSAGE LINK or private message us with ideas of what you waould like changed, added, or removed.

It wasn't that we had censorship... in years gone by we simply had a specific set of forum rules and we strictly enforced them. We kept the forums as clean as possible in the old days. Eventually, we loosened up though and Smack House was also created to "pacify" the few who always had a big issue with having "strict rules" to live by. It was meant to have little moderation and loose talk, even heated debates on hot topics... However, it quickly turned into a place to post nothing but porn and ended up used for little else.

We're not going back to "strict rules" and "hard enforcement", but at the same time Mustang Works isn't a porn site... it's a Mustang site. And, that's the direction we want to get solely back to. If you want porn there's a 100,000 sites all over the web for that already... so, it's just not needed here.

The porn forum was the highlight of this site.

I am saddened and deeply depressed by the removal of the T&A thread.

What makes this site differtent from all the others is a lack of moderator participation wich results in the older members having to do all the work. Like answering questions that would otherwise go unnoticed for weeks.

To the guy with 100 post, I predict you "Never" hit 500.

Maybe I won't hit 500, maybe I will. That isn't why I'm here though and it isn't my goal.

Sorry you don't like the site focus getting back to Mustangs. What would you like to see added in the place of Smack? Other than porn, what would you really like to see here?

Moderator participation, Some think moderation is bad, I think it gives the site an identity.

A calculater that corrects ET's to sea level.

Tech articles for installing cams,gears etc...

Maybe you could substitute porn for a girl of the week feature or something.

BTW: I know you are not here for a post count. Neither am I, I was just giving you the standard newbie welcome. I threw out the bait and you didnt bite, I am impressed.

I'm not saying that I don't like porn but this really isn't a smut shop. There are 1900 other places on the net for that. Can't your computer multi task? When I get on here I expect to talk Mustangs and look at other ppl's Mustangs. If your Mustang is bad enough you really don't need porn, think about it, I get plenty of tail in mine.;) ..... But really this is a holy place for Mustangs not Porn.

im sorry to hear that dude, j/k thats funny though. but really there is no point in making jokes about my mustang having a 4 cyl in it, unless its some jerkoff that thinks his is actually bad, i already have a 302 built to put in it but im waiting on a tranny... Besides most of you guys are way older than me and got tons more money. its kinda hard to dish out cash here and there on a small buget. not to mention i gave a lawn mower for the car. I got it when i was 14 with intentions of nothing but making it a v8 car. at age 14 i had no money nor much automotive skill but still knew one day it was going to happen... at least my hopes and dreams aren't in a pos rice burner. thats all the the kids in my age group want. i think they're stupid. im not big on the whole fart can era. but for some reason i really like the 87-93 notchbacks, thats why i wanted the car i got.
