Post Senior Member Status

I've noticed Senior Members with as low as 40 posts and some as high as the 300s. What is the "Magic Number"?

At 150 posts you'll automatically be upgraded in status by the system. If you see anyone that has fewer than 150 posts and it says they are a senior member, that's because they were upgraded before we changed the system from 30 posts before you were upgraded to 150.

Hey Dan we need to have different levels. Like member, senior member, and think of some other ones. I just broke the 700 mark that has to be good for something!

That's not possible. The msgboard system only allows two levels for regular users, and then a moderator or administrator status. Of course, it is possible to modify the systems programming which I have already done in a couple minor ways, but I'm not going to do anything extensive. That's because each time a new version/upgrade comes out all the program modules have to be replace, and then you are stuck redoing all your modifications again. It's a major pain just with the little things I've done as it is.

Sorry I didn't know all that was involved. I don't know too much about computers so this is new to me. Just an idea. Thanks for the answer though. It's just that over at stangnet as you move up you get a new name. Kinda cool but nothing really important. Don't worry I'm still a loyal mustangworks fan. And when I'm at cyberbrawl I'll be racing for the good old mustangworks!

Thumbs up

Oh, no problem! If they do that over there on that "other" site then he's got a mod for it he's running. There are lots of UBB mods floating around, but I haven't looked at many of them. What things I need I general code myself. That is my profession...

Glad you'll be joining us at the CyberBrawl event! Can't wait to meet everyone that can make it...
