Default '02 17" 5 spoke wheels questionj

I just had new tires put on my '02 GT and in the process, the installers chipped the powdercoating around the center caps on all 4 wheels. I suspect they were trying to pry the center caps out. These are the 5 spoke wheels with the small recessed center cap and grey powdercoated spokes. Does anyone know how to correctly remove these caps? Could you please explain it to me? Does anyone have a set of undamaged wheels for sale?

Sorry about the lame question, but I would like to have the maximum amount of ammo when I confront the guilty party. Thanks in advance.
