1/4 times on 96+GT's and Cobra's
Just Curious to see how much more the Cobra's can do?

I have an absolutely bone stock 96 Mustang Cobra, with 26,000 miles on it. I live at 2,500 ft. elevation and I run anywhere from a 14.2 to a 13.8 depending on how well I launch.

I have a 96 GT, still stock. I ran it at the track the other day, it ran ok i guess. The top speed all night was 90 MPH, couldn't get any more out of it.

My 2000GT Coupe pulled a best of 13.69 with no modifications what so ever (took out spare tire, and removed left light for RAM air effect). ...consistent 13.7 at 101MPH.
I just bought myself some Nitto 555 rubber, and I'm hopping to hit the 13.5 mark. ------------------ Lizard King, Bone Stock; 13.69 at 101MPH • Extreme Burnout •2000GT VS LS1 • Quartermile run •2000GT vs LX Stang |

Beefcake, or anyone else, what do the 99 cobra's run in stock condition? I just bought one that was wrecked in front end and will be fixing it, it will be a while before it is driveable, but just curious what kind of times they run?

blackmustanggt96, is you car an auto or stick? if it's a stick try shifting before 5000 rpm it'll help your times. the power really falls off after that with the stock 96 heads. jmo.

Look in sig. Motor is stock from TB to Oilpan. Everything else is bolt-ons.

It's a stick. Right now i am shifting between 4700 - 4900 RPM..... I just can't get a good 60ft time. Don't have much traction.
