120 mph speedo/13.5 gal. tank
Anyone know why my 1997 GT (manual) has a 120 mph speedometer instead of the 150?
Anyone know why I can only fill up to about 13.5 gal instead of the 15.4 that the tank is supposed to hold? I'm guessing these two items are V6 parts.

When did you buy the car? I'd run a vin check to see if there is soemthing noted.
I've put 15 in my 15.4

I bought it in June of 2000 but it was built in December of 1996. Great idea on running the vin number. But (dumb question coming) where do I do that?

You can run a carfax on the net, or ask someone to help you out in the Blue Oval Lounge.
If that doesn't come back with anything, go to your local dealer and ask for the parts manager. He should be able to point you in the direction of someone who can run it in Ford's computer.
