Does anyone know the difference between 2- and 3-way converters? I was told that 2-ways are for carburated engines and 3-ways are for fuel injected. But what is the real difference?

2 way converters were used to reduce HC and CO emissions. The 3 way converter was designed to reduce HC, CO & NOx, emissions. There is a company that currently makes a 4 way cat and some can be found on high end cars(The Saleen S281 is one of them) that are designed to reduce, HC, CO, NOx & particulate emissions.
