2001 mustang jumping

I was driving my wifes 2001 Mustang V6 because she told me recently it was "jumping". I drives in all gears, but when you put it into 3rd gear and let off the gas the car starts jumping. Does anyone have a clue why this might be happening?

well i am assuming its a 5 speed...what u mean by jumping? is the car shaking on the tranny knocking? but ur prolly lookin at gettin a new tranny in the near future
