Default Heads up guys. Factory manual rack and pinion

Autozone sells a manual rack and pinion for an 81 mustang that bolts right into a 87-93 mustang $114.00 and they will take your manual rack as a core.

It is practicly identical to the flaming river unit.

Yep, when I bought mine some time back I found that there were two versions available at your local parts stores (NAPA, Autozone, Reiley's, etc.). One was a Canadian version and the other was a TRW OEM replacement. The CA version has shorter inner tie rod ends so it may not be considered a direct replacement for all vehicles, but it did work with my 90GT. Even with the shorter inners, I still have like 1-1/4" of thread engagement which is more than sufficient. The CA version seemed to be more readily available and cheaper than the TRW version. You'll still need the manual rag joint, which to my knowledge is only available as a Ford service part.
