Question 2006 Mustang GT electrical problem?

Yesterday morning my "low fuel" alarm went off and showed 13 miules until empty.... I thohng I had at least 4 gallons still in the tank but thought the better of it and filled the tank.... It took 9 gallons to fill it.... OK kinda weird but I thought it was a one time occurance....

Today I started it up, and the radio display "froze". Display showed station but no sound... None of the buttons or switches would work.. volume on/off nuttin....

I turned it off and tried 2 couple of times.... same thing.... I open the door, took the key out and looked at the owners manual...
No help there... After 10 minutes I started it up again and now everything is back to normal...

I keep my tang in the garage both at work and home...... It has 14K miles.....

Any ideas?

I haven't had any electrical problems with my 06GT yet (had to take it in for a rear brake shake thing), BUT... my Jeep Liberty (ok, wife's) started acting weird. She would get the low gas warning and it would display like 3 or 4 gallons with a quarter of a tank. The alarm would go off when she set it with the key fob. It would stumble on startup... etc.

Well, there was a LOT of corrosion buildup on the negative battery terminal. Took the leads off to clean them up and found a crack near the negative post on the battery. Replaced the battery, and no more problems.

Hope that gives you something to check on... Here's some websites to check out that help me...

Sounds like another ground problem.

Check all of your battery cable connections, including to the block.

Clean the battery's posts\terminals if needed.

If problems still persist It's time to start looking at other ground locations in your electrical system. Sounds like your radio and the "low fuel" alarm may be on the same circuit.

Since its an '06, I would do the easy\obvious stuff and then take it to the dealership for warranty work.
