2v 0r 4v

hey sorry about the dumb question but im new. what is the difference in 2V and 4V? i own a 97GT. what does mine have?

2V or 4V refers to the number of valves per cylinder. GT's are 2 valves per cylinder (1 intake and 1 exhaust) with single overhead cams, while Cobras are 4 valves per cylinder (2 intake and 2 exhaust) with dual overhead cams.
The benefit of the 4V is that it mixes the air and fuel better for more complete combustion and it flows more air. Drawback is the price.
