If you mean AODE(94-95) with 2.40 1st gear,4.10s would be better. If you meant 4R70W with 2.84 1st in the 96-up, then 3.73 gears would work well. At 60 mph with 3.73 gears, The line is just a tick over 2,000 rpms. With 4.10s I would imagine the rpms would be about 6200-6300. If you have the 4R70W, 3.73s and a converter will be more than enough to get you going and keep you going. I ride the 3.73 gears in 3rd up until 120 mph so I still have top end speed.

Well, lets figure it out:
If 3.73s@60mph = 2000 then: 4.10s@60mph = 2000 * 4.10/3.73 = ~2200 4.10s@65mph = 2200 * 65/60 = ~2380 4.10s@70mph = 2200 * 70/60 = ~2560 4.10s@75mph = 2200 * 75/60 = ~2750 4.10s@80mph = 2200 * 80/60 = ~2930 |
