Congrats on the gears.
I have some 4.10s sitting in a box on my floor, and Im just waiting till I have the cash/balls to get em in. I dont know really what Im waiting for, just that I know once theyre in, the car's gonna run like a raped ape, and at that point, Im afraid Im gonna beat on my new car too much. But I digress.... ------------------ Black 2000 GT Magnaflow mufflers, K&N Steeda springs, subs, strut tower, CC plates |

I remember back in the day when I got my 4.10s, they were considered "crazy". "Anything over a 3.73 wouldn't be streetable" they told me. Now 4.10s are "wussy" gears. Oh well. They will work well when the blower arrives!

I remember that as well, if you had 4.10's you were crazy or just didn't care. Now in a Cobra you better have at least 4.30's or 4.56's or your just wasting time. If I was staying NA I was going to go with 4.88's in my GT and a taller tire for better traction. But Turbo or Nitrous may be in my future so I'm going to hold off for now.
StoplightWarrior, I hear you about the abuse aspect of racing your car. If any car is a testament to what they can handle it's my car. 47K miles, 300+ passes (50+ on slicks), stock transmission, stock rear end, stock long block. I'm not easy on the car either 6K dumps on slicks but I do take care of it. Frequently changing out fuel filter, plugs, oil, clean filter, etc... Put the 4.10's in soon you won't regret it. ------------------ 00 GT, MAC Offroad H, Steeda Pulleys & Timing Adjuster, 4.10’s, Flows w/turndowns, UPR shifter, UPR Pro Series LCA’s, Lakewood 70/30’s & 50/50’s, Weld Pro Stars, Kaenen Cobra R Hood, 253.8 RWHP/292.8RWTQ 12.91@101.93 (1.74 60ft) M/M 100, 7085 Recent Pic from Moroso |

SMOKE, 1st is still very useable...up to about 32mph. Is that useable enough? Or I can easily start out in 2nd and run it up to 60mph or so.
