|  4.6L Idle Problems Hello everyone, I am having a problem with 4.6L. When I start it up cold it will not fast idle, and will eventually die all together. This problem mysteriously goes away once the car is warm. Does anyone out there have any information that might help me with this dilema? Thanks, Shawn |

|  I would check the Idle Air Control solenoid. It is on the front of the upper intake, just below the running horse. There is an adjustment screw under the black cap located on the top of the solenoid. Under a cold start the IAC should open (just like opening the throttle plate) and allow the motor to idel higher. Mine usually will idel around 1000rpm.
