5.0 to 4.6 swap???
is it possible to swap a 4.6 DOHC motor into my 91 LX 5.0?
where can i find info on the swap? what would i have to change? would it match up to my T-5? ANY input will be appreciated. |

Yes you can. I just had a buddy of mine put a 4V into his coupe. I can't remeber what all had to be done. It wasnt too complicated. I will talk to him and get all the info you need if you like? Oh by the way. He just put a blower on the car too. Hehe. Fast car.

The main thing that allows these swaps is the fact that you can swap any of the '79 to present K-members between any of the '79 to present Stangs. You can even put a Lightning motor in a Fox if you want.

Why did they change from 5.0 to 4.6, the 302 HO's were nice, the cubic inch was nice to say cause your in the 300's, like 305, 350, 383, hence camaros, trans-am's and such, at 215 horse performance didnt really change much did it, my guess would be like longer life,reliability and stuff like that, thanks for any input

naw dude, i saw a video clip of lideo lacabelli pull an 11.04 in a stock 88 notch, but with the '03 cobra motor in it. it got me thinking to put a 4V in it with a roots blower (i just dont like centrifugal) but it looks a little pricey of a swap.
