97 GT Exaust
Was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which headers would be a good for a 4.6 97 GT ? right now there is a flowmaster cat back with stock headers and H pipe on the car the car is fairly new to My garage so I haven't done much to it as of yet Just Looking for a few Opinions from fellow Mustang Owners and also If any one has had a bad expierence with a BBK Crossover as this is what I am planning on installing
|
Can't go wrong with Motorsport shorties...
|
i went with the FMS shortys, nice power gain, a little time consuming to install, but well worth it. If you've got the money, spend the extra $60 for the ceramic coating. I have a BBK o/r h-pipe on my car and i am very happy with it. Installation was easy, and your car will sound spectacular with the flowmasters.

FMS shorties all the way. Get a x-pipe with a magnaflow catback and blow away the "original" h-pipe and flows setup :)

ALL READ THIS, Must know info Please
I have contemplated buying the FMS headers, and when I first bought the car I did purchase them, but returned them. I didnt like how they looked. The welds were nasty all around the edges, and I couldnt see that giving any power gain.
So, realistically, you all say that the FMS headers work well? I suppose I could dremel the rough edges down. Atleast with those I can swap the H pipes come inspection time without having to get long tubes and a shorty catted. Does anyone have Dyo numbers from adding those? |
I put mine on during the heads\intake swap, so there's no way to tell what part of my gain was from the headers alone.
Second-hand sources tell me that gains are comparable to BBKs\JBAs... Quote:
