Question Question on Basic Inexpensive "Do it yourself" Performance upgrades

I have a 98 mustang GT. Can anyone recommend some simple basic and inexpensive do it yourself performance upgrades that make a huge difference?

Thanks in advanced

Try doing a search. There are hundreds of posts on mods as far as bang for the buck.

A Zex dry nitrous kit is very easy to install and will make a very big difference.

Your first mechanical mod should be GEARS... $350-$500 bucks installed.

By the time you buy the gears, install kit (you should get a new pinion bearing when you swap gears or you're asking for trouble), speedo compensation, fluids, pay shipping on everything, and labor, you are looking at more like $450-$750 depending on how much the install costs. Install may be cheaper where you live, but where I live it is $275-$575 depending on where you go.
Gears are definitely the best seat of the pants mod you can do for the money. I'd go 3.73 for yours based on the powerband unless you have done the PI headswap, in which case I'd go 4.10s (assuming a 5-speed).

really? i have heard some people say they felt nothing, and some people swear by them. would they effect my amp/subs, i.e. not enough power for the alternator?
