Hey guys. A neighbor of mine just bought a used '98 Cobra 5-speed, with only 34,000 miles on it. It looks killer. Can't wait to race him. How much horsepower does the '98 Cobras come with? I'd imagine all Cobras would have manual transmissions...what gears come in the rear? 3.27s?

I'm not sure on the gears. 3.08 or 3.27 Just crawl under there with a flashlight and look at the tag.

Thanks for the info. Duece. Yeah, I was going to read the tag for the gears...was hoping to get an answer so I didn't have to get underneath the car and get dirty...when it's not even my car. :p

2.73's? I though most pre 99 cars had 2.73's.

1998 Cobra is my second favorite cobra after the 2003. :)

96-03 cobras have 3.27 gears.

The 98 cobras are high 13 second cars, you should smoke him rather easily.
