How much is an 85 gt WORTH?

I have several 60's mustangs but I'm considering purchasing two 85 gt bodies. Note one has been wrecked but has a llawless interior with no motor transmission. The other has no interior but the complete body is there minus the motor and trans. I was planning on taking the two and making one. My motor of chocie is a 351 windsor with a c4 trans which I already have. I was wanting some insight into how much other mustang enthusiasts thought these would be worth. Both have factory wheels. The price for these as they are has been negotiated to $600. Please let me know you opinion on this. Thankjs

$600 for both might be ok, but not $600 for one

Personally, I love the 85's body stlye. My first two stangs were an 85 and an 84. I wrecked my first one (the 85) and the second I was running short on cash and it needed work. I sold it for what I paid. If you can make a nice looking car by piecing the two together, then 600 isn't a bad deal but I would still try to talk them down a bit. Emphasize the fact that there is no motor or tranny and your gonna have to do a lot of work to piece them together. Other than that, it's really personal preference.

Good Luck, James

Thanks for the reply to my post guys. I still havent made up my mind about the cars yet. I hope to talk the guy down a little more. He was wanting 800 for both and I made him an offer about two weeks ago. He turned me down at the time and since then he hasn't sold it by running it in the local paper so he called me back and said he would take my offer. However like I said this offer was made two weeks ago and since then I have had several reservations about the cars. I love the 85 body style and it is my favorite of the fox body mustangs. Even if I dont buy these two mustangs I plan on buying one in the very near future. Thanks again.

$600 is a solid deal for both if one has a good body. I've seen a single rolling chassis sell for that.
