Question Anybody running Thrush exhaust?

I grew up pretty old school and was looking for something different than Flowmasters. My old man had Thrush mufflers on his '65 and I still remember that sweet sound. Anyone running the Thrush Turbos on a sohc 4.6? How does it sound, and what was the hp gain?

Dynomax and Thrush are part of the same company (not sure who owns who.) So I assume that the Dynomax super turbos would sound very similar to the Thrush turbos.
The Dynomax super turbos are very stock sounding IMO.
Dynomax makes an Ultra-flo muffler that is supposed to sound pretty decent, so you might want to look into that. Other non-Flowmaster sounding mufflers are Borla, Magnaflow, and Bassani.

www.magnaflow.com
Magnapacks sound like the old glass packs (or cherry bombs if you prefer) Magnaflows sound a little louder and deeper than stock...just a suggestion.

Do a search on "exaust sound clips" on the stangnet for some examples...It'll give you an idea of some exaust notes.

Good Luck.

I found a sound file for the Dynomax Ultraflow SS. Sounds really good. It was one their site, and one a stock n/a cobra to boot. They had a baseline wav of the stock exhaust. They are supposed to flow real well too. I may get those if the Thrush's don't flow/sound as good.

Thanks for your help.
