Default anyone got ford code letter's

i lokked for my rear axle code on the door sticker, it say's axle - l e , ok i know e means 3:27 gears, i called the dealer, they said, e stood for what i already knew, but he had never heard l e, he said -l stood for a trans axle 3:55 gears, wtf, even he was puzzled. guess im gonna have to jack it up, crawl under it, find the tag on the rear end.

Don't get yourself dirty if you don't have to. The 'L' stands for Limited slip. You can find out everything you ever wanted from this website using your door tag.

Dude, scroll down the page the link takes you to. Right above where it says transmission type is the listing of all the codes for axles. I think you're just looking for a reason to get under there.
