Question ATTN: Hammer-Roush cold air kit

Hey, I got my Roush cold air kit in the mail today and installed it. It just consists of a 90 degree bent black tube from the MAF to the Fenderwell, and the K&N conical filter that attaches to it. Is that all your is?
Also, does yours have a screen at the MAF? I read on MustangWorld NOT to run your engine without that screen in there. However, there is nowhere to mount it with the new setup?
Thanks

Hey T-Bone...
Yep, that's all there is....that's why the 75 dollar deal that you got is good compared to what I had to pay for a bent tube and K$N...;-)

But it seems to help a bit anyways...

Ahhh, the screen. It went bye-bye as there is no way to mount it. I've had it almost 2 years with no problems at all without the screen. Just be sure that the inside of the air induction route is free of foreign debris if you take off the filter for routine cleaning...

Let me know if you have any other questions...

Wink

OK, good. I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting ripped off or anything. Thanks!

Yeah, she seems like a whole new machine since I got er' bone stock back in January. This is the funnest hobby I've done since computers. Less expensive too, hehe....

Are you guys getting any RPM fluttering at idle? Mine seems to hover around 500 rpm and dips and surges a little .Everything is tight and i had the batt disconnected for a while a few times

No. Not that I've noticed, yet. You'll know if I do though. It will be posted.

Cool

Nope, no fluttering at all....
Are you sure its due to the Cold Air kit?
Have you tried it without the kit on (stock)?

500rpm sounds a little low doesn't it? Mine idles at around 750rpm solid.
