BBK catalytic H-pipe is installed!!! Perfect.
I finally got the H-pipe/cat-back combo that I've wanted all along. BBK hi-flow H and Borla cat-back.
Damn, it sounds awesome! The throttle response seems a little better, too. I haven't had a chance to really get on it, but I doubt I will feel a difference. My SOTP meter isn't the best. But, hopefully I will feel something. ------------------ T-Bones 1997 Cobra#6342 born 6-11-97 Wht/blk, Pro 5.0,FRPP 4.56's, aluminum driveshaft, FRPP throttle body, C&L 80mm MAF, K&N, Steeda U/D pulleys, Steeda timing adjuster, Borla cat-back, BBK cat H-pipe, SFC's, FRPP pro springs, BBK caster/cambers. Everyone's gettin' their Hpipes but me... sniff sniff... I'm glad it sounds good with that combo. I'm still counting on next year for my BBK to go with my Borlas. I'll chalk up another positive BBK experience if you didn't have any trouble with fitment. Now you have to get her to the track and see what she'll do! Brett, it fit like a glove.
Yes, I know I need to get it to the track. I paid for some slicks on the internet, and the guy backed out on me. So, now I have to find another set...and get a driveshaft loop. I'm pissed because the track opens June 3rd, and I don't think I will have the slicks by then. |

Slicks...schmicks!! C'mon man like you need slicks! You don't think your street tires would hook with your 4.56's?
BTW - Glad to hear the pipe fit well. ------------------ 66 Tahoe Turquoise Coupe Laser Red 96GT Ragtop 30 Years & 30 inches apart in the driveway! |

I'm suprised to see everyone saying how wonderful thy BBK pipes fit. I was just in the Windsor forum and everyone was complaining how crappy their catalytic and off road BBK pipes fit on their 5.0's. It's all good if it fits for your new rides though.

I just put my BBK H-pipe with cats on yesterday. Had a few fit problems. The 2 1/2" pipe didn't match up to my 2 1/4" stock cat back(this one I knew). My car is an automatic and the pipe blocked the shift linkage from moving and therefore shifter wouldn't move and car wouldn't go into gear. Had to pound down the spot on the pipe with a ball peen hammer. Also had to use plumbers strap to hold it up at the hangers. It didn't work with the stock setup. But despite these problems I still love it. There is rarely a perfect fit with aftermarket parts. Just part of the game.
