When you are working with Airbags, always unhook the battery. Wait for about 5 mins, for the back up system to becoame disarmed. Then on the side of the steering wheel, you will see 2 plaste cover, one on each side. Take them out using something with a fine tip. Then you will see 2 bolts, one on each side. Using a #8mm socket, take those bolts out. Then unplug the airbag model, and replace it, and repeat the process.
