I blew the intake manifold on my 96 GT. Same thing, Stopped at light and a big burst of steam from all around the car and coolant all over the road. Kind of embarrassing.
I took it to FORD and the they fixed it under a recall. No charge. They even paid for the tow truck. Made me happy. I hope the new one does not do the same thing.
