Bosch Platinum Plugs
I've heard of people pinging with the platinum plugs and theyre mainly to last long and not really for performance and I just did a tune up on my car and I see that I have been riding around with the platinums (I bought the car in Oct.) and put in some Autolites instead. Was this smart because the plugs that I took out were pretty clean and I never had pinging though the car feels "peppier" now The plugs that were in there have the inscription "HR9BPY Germany R6 768" if that makes a difference.

You are correct in your assumption. You'll get better performance out of the Autolites, but longer life out of the Bosche Platinums.
