Hey, my tires on my stang did the same thing. Hardly a mark, and next to no smoke. I found that the cheap Pep Boys tires smoke and leave good marks. Don't worry, its a good thing. I had Michelin Pilot XGT Z4's. They were an expensive tire and I was glad they didn't leave big black marks or else i would have been doing it a lot more. I'll tell you what, when I needed to hook in a street race, these hooked, worth the $. The guys leaveing the burnouts won't be able to hook when they need to. And that crap about heating the tires doesn't work on a street tires, so don't worry about doing a burnout before a street race, maybe a quick spin to clean them, thats all. Street tires are rated on their ability to dissapate heat, so a burnout just wastes 1000's of miles.
