Default cai question

i'm getting a cai installed on my stang here on monday, i have a question its a dumb one too but here it goes...will this cai affect my gas mileage? i'm taking a long trip in dec and i need to get at least 15 mpg...its a mac cai, i don't know too much about them, just what i got off the net..some hate them some love them...

i hope its worth the 175 bucks....

Well, its certainly not worth 175 bucks in my opinion...

But it shouldn't effect your gas mileage...

yeh i figured for 175 bucks it should give some hp improvement.
but its all for looks i guess.

might just save the cash for fms 3:73's instead.

Yeah it wont add much. Its not something your gonna really feel in the seat of you pants but here's what I always say.....it all adds up. You can't expect a huge improvement from every part. Once you get a few things on your car you'll start to notice a difference.

Will not affect gas mileage, but it will look good in your engine bay. If you haven't bought it yet try finding one used there are a lot of guys that had CAI's and converted to superchargers, bought mine for 75.00 bucks. Save that money for something else...
