Cat-back

I'm looking for a cat-back that will give me some added power and has a nice deep sound but not too loud and not too much $. I was looking at MAC or Dynomax. What do ya think?

I would go with a X or H pipe with cats before I'd consider a cat-back system. I also have a 99 GT and have read that our exhaust isn't terribly restrictive as compared to earlier years. The X/H pipe will give you a nice exhaust sound and increase hp, 10-15hp? Steeda just came out with an X pipe with cats
and I see a lot guys going with the Bassani X. Expect to pay $400-500.

A cat-back system probably won't give you many horse (if any at all), but the sound will be much nicer. I would go with the Dynomax. They are nice and throaty, but not too loud.

If you're looking more for a mod for horsepower, you should look at X or H pipes.

Be aware that cat-backs are usually cheaper that the aftermarket X or H pipes.
